ESTATE LANDSCAPE CONNECTIVITY & FUNCTIONALITY
Our clients asked IDDLA to reimagine the visual and physical connection between their residence and pool complex. To achieve this, we expanded the existing terrace adjoining the house, increasing both its width and length for a more spacious, functional design. Built-in planters, featuring a matched pair of Japanese maples, add scale, structure and rhythm to this grand terrace.
To improve circulation, we introduced a rounded lower terrace with steps leading to a lawn stepper path, seamlessly guiding movement toward the pool area.
At the pool, we reinforced this connectivity by creating welcoming, functional steps and enlarging the pool deck. A new grill station and dedicated dining niche enhance this space for entertaining and relaxation. To stabilize the surrounding slopes, we incorporated boulders sourced from the property, complemented by xeriscape plantings that blend seamlessly with the existing pool landscape.
