Inge Daniels Design LLC is a design-driven studio practice offering landscape architectural services across New England. Every project is uniquely designed to respond to the site’s character and ecological systems, and our clients’ practical needs and experiential goals.

  • We create sustainable landscapes that support local ecosystems & minimize maintenance, and integrate ecological restoration practices wherever possible.

  • Our designs enhance the experience of the landscape throughout the seasons, fostering a deeper connection to the environment. Amongst other considerations, we study how views unfold across the site, how textures and topography are expressed, and how circulation remains safe and intuitive.

  • We believe that with thoughtful planning, the most effective landscape solutions are often the simplest - balancing function, beauty and interest.

  • Collaboration is at the heart of our process. We work closely with clients and design teams to create innovative, enduring spaces that align with construction realities, maintenance needs, budget, and schedule.

Who we are.

Inge Daniels is a registered professional landscape architect with 20 years of experience in the design and project management of complex landscapes. Prior to founding Inge Daniels Design in 2012, she was Senior Designer at the celebrated firm Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates (MVVA) where she collaborated on multi-disciplinary teams and contributed to dozens of institutional and civic projects world-wide.

Inge (click to hear pronunciation) holds a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design where she was awarded a Certificate of Honor from the American Society of Landscape Architects and the prestigious Janet Darling Webel prize for special achievement in design. Her work has been featured in Houzz, New England Home, and the Boston Globe.

She is a founding principal of the landscape collective, COLLAB, and taps into this network for some IDDLA projects.

What we do.

We are a full service landscape architectural practice specializing in high-end residential landscapes and small civic, park & public housing projects. Our scope of services includes:

  • Conceptual & Schematic Landscape Design & Design Development

  • Construction Documentation & Construction Administration

We can determine project phasing as needed and guide your project from concept to completion. We collaborate with skilled landscape contractors and craftspeople to ensure that every detail reflects the highest quality.

Inge Daniels is a registered professional landscape architect in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts & the State of Maine. She is a member of the ASLA, BSLA & ELA.
